Holocaust Remembrance

We hope everyone will come to the library to view the touching photographs commemorating the history of the Warsaw Ghetto from its establishment in 1940 to its destruction and the final deportation of its inhabitants in 1943. This exhibit, created for the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education by the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland, is on display through April 18, as part of the community commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day. On April 15, the Liberty Community Chorus will present a concert in Gano Chapel, also as part of this commemoration.

Women's History Month

Last month we had access to a number of valuable databases relating to Black History Month. We hope you found them interesting and useful, and we hope you'll let us know which ones you would like to see as permanent offerings of the Curry Library.

Now, for the rest of March, we have another set of databases available, this time in honor of Women's History Month. Take a look at these and let us know what you think:

British and Irish Women's Letters and Diaries

North American Women's Letters and Diaries

Women and Social Movements

At Last!

We're glad finally to have the new Curry Library web pages up and running. We hope you'll enjoy the new look. We also hope you'll try out the new databases and the new features for finding and using the older databases. And that you'll take the opportunity to Ask A Librarian for assistance with searches or any other research need.

We're here to help and look forward to hearing your suggestions as well as your questions.
