There’s Something New at the Library

We haven’t been idle over the summer. You’ll find several changes around the place, besides new databases and new books:

  1. Computers on the second floor. There are now two computers near the head of the stairs and another in the Curriculum Lab. All are available for checking the catalog and searching library databases, without the need to go back downstairs.
  2. Access to the Computer Lab. We’re reopening the stairway access to the computer lab downstairs. Please remember to check out any materials before you take them downstairs.
  3. The Information Desk is a little more visible and we are working to make it more usable in helping you find resources that are helpful.
  4. Library renovation plans. We’ve spent a lot of the summer devising plans for a significant renovation of Curry Library. You’ll find displays of some of the draft plans and other considerations. As ideas are finalized, we’ll update the displays. We benefited by the input many of you provided on sticky notes last spring and other comments we received. Thank you.

Help with Library Improvement

We’re interested in forming a student advisory group to help with plans for improving Curry Library services and facilities. If you’re interested in serving on such a group, send an email to Hugh Stocks, stocksh@william.jewell.edu.
